2001 plasma Speedo gauge in 97 galant

I would like to ask you if Galant GDI 2000 year speedometer new plasma panel fits in the 1997 Galant GLS.

i want this like, only from manual gearbox.


and i have, with t10 bulbs. sorry but picture doesn't.

We know for sure, that the one from V6 Galant does not fit to 2.0 ones... So I guess it could be the same with GDI.

I don't think so Dzhedaj, you see, 2.0 and GDI has four cilinders, so there should be no problems with tachometer, but it is just my opinion.

Why do you think the problem is because of the cylinder count? Shouldn't the sensor be in the gearbox?

Then come that, can not fit only tachometer, with a V6 engine? But like scheichas says GDI are 4 cilinders, maybe fits.

and gearbox sensor, with GDI not same? I guess GLS gearbox senor go to ECU then go to speedometer, and doesn't incorrect reading to plasma speedo from GDI.

I doesn't know what to do, buy or not, that GDI plasma panel is not so cheap!

in my case, everything worked(water temp unit, fuel unit, speedometer, and counted kilometers correctly) except tachometer, but when I inserted it into V6 Galant, tachometer worked splendidly

That is interesting. I heard in Latvia to, that problem is tachometer, but i don't know what kinda plasma speedo been from, maybe v6 or GDI!

The gearbox sensors are the same in 2.0, 2.5 and gdi. 2.0 Techo signal is different from 2.5 cuz ignition system, so gdi display may fit to 2.0
