Error codes
It gives the error codes for the engine but you can also get the codes for the ABS, Traction Control and Tip box in the same way.
The following is from the Chassis Manual.
ABS Codes - Chassis manual section 35B
Check the ABS warning light operates as follows.
1. When the ignition is switched to ON the ABS light should illuminate for about 3 seconds then switch off.
2. When the key is turned to START the light stays on
3. When the key is turned back to ON the light illuminates for about 3 seconds then switches off.
4. If you have anything other than the above check the error codes.
To properly gain the ABS codes you must disconnect the ABS Valve relay which is the top right relay in the engine bay fuse box, looking from the front. After you have removed this you will also get error code 52. Don’t worry, this is normal and will disappear once you replace it. If you find no codes stored but still have a light behaving different from above then it may be the ABS Valve Relay.

TCL codes - Chassis manual section 13C
To check the system using the TCL lamps assuming both are functioning.
Ignition switch at ON – both lights should light up.
Start the engine and both should switch off
With the engine idling switch of the TCL and the TCL OFF light should illuminate
With the TCL on drive for a few minutes at 30 MPH and no lights should come on.
Anything other than this and you should check for codes as shown above.

Automatic transmission - Chassis manual section 23
With a flashing N lamp there are two possibilities of what it could be.
If it flashes at 1Hz, once a second, then it will be either,
Input speed sensor
Output speed sensor
Solenoid valve
Out of phase at shift points
A/T control relay system
If it flashes at 2Hz, twice per second, the ATF temperature is too high and you should stop to allow it to cool down.
11, 12 and 14 all relate to Throttle position sensor system (Vehicles without TCL) and Accelerator pedal position sensor system (Vehicles with TCL)
